Staying healthy...

Dear All
The pressure from being at University may be beginning to affect you and the cold and flu season is hiting us all hard, plus we are beginning to get invited to seasonal parties. The following tips are designed to help you remain as healthy as youcan:

1. Get enough sleep, go to bed at a regular time each night, and try to unwind half an hour before you get into bed

2. Eat a balanced diet, a third of the food you eat needs to be fruit and vegetables, at least five portions perday, a third needs to be carbohydrates, bread, cereals, potatoes, rice or pasta, one sixth needs to be dairy products chees, milk, yoghurts, and one or two portions of protein, meat, fish, eggs, pulses, and a very small amount fats and processed foods such as biscuits and cakes.

9.If you have sexual intercourse remember to practice safer sex and use a condom, these can be purchased on campus in the student union shop, the library and outside the Halls of Residence. Remember failure to do so can and does result in an unplanned pregnancy and (or) sexually transmitted infections such as gonorrheoa, chlamydia, and HIV
